How to Handle Insecurity

Insecurity is focusing too much on one’s own flaws. There are four options of focus:

  1. Focusing on one’s own flaws

  2. Focusing on another's flaws

  3. Focusing on your strengths

  4. Focusing on another's strengths

There may also be a neutral way of pointing your attention, where it isn’t really on anyone’s flaws or strengths. 


A great way to fight your insecurities is by focusing on another’s flaws. That’s an easy way of regaining control over your attention. After that, focus on the strengths of yourself and others.
